Effective from academic year (2026-2027) the registration process around the Thesis project has changed. Why? Because we believe that everyone should have the chance to find a project that fits their interests!
Preregistration of your Thesis project in both the Bachelor and Master programs is required. The registration forms can be found here:
There will be two different scenarios depending on whether you would pursue a Thesis project at the Institute of Molecules and Materials (IMM) or not.
For students who would like to do a project within the Research Institute for Molecules and Materials: we will make the distribution of internships, based on your preferences and motivation. This means that if the number of students exceeds the capacity of a research group, we will actively find alternative solutions. We still encourage you to reach out to PI to discuss their research topics.
For the students who want to do an internship outside of the IMM (i.e. RIMLS, RIBES, Radboudumc, a company or academia in the Netherlands or abroad) you will need to take initiative for arranging such a Thesis project and to start in time (6-9 months). Since we have no authority at those research departments or companies, we cannot arrange anything for you. In case you encounter difficulties in finding an internship, please reach out to us for support. Preregistration of such a project through the form will still be required.
Please note: for any internship outside of our university, you will need an approved examiner from Radboud University who will monitor the academic level of your work.
